¡Bienvenidos a MI LIBRO ES TU LIBRO!

This site is dedicated to the SOMSD students involved in the MI LIBRO ES TU LIBRO project.
This is an interactive project where Fifth Grade students work together with Columbia High School students in order to create children's books in Spanish.
Fifth Grade students will write stories, comics, poems, or short plays in English and will illustrate them. Their High School partners will be given copies of the illustrations and lists of key words in Spanish to create their own story in Spanish. The High School students will be encouraged to be creative and will not see the English version originally created by the Fifth Garders. They will type the stories and create Spanish audio versions for the Fifth Graders. Eventually both groups will meet and will be able to read the stories to each other and compare both versions.
